Eligibility
The
eligibility for applying IES – 2018 is given below:
Nationality
Candidates must be a resident of India, Nepal,
Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee.
Age
Limit
Age limit for IES 2018 is between 21-30 years of
age.
Academic
Qualification
Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in the
field of engineering from a recognized University.
Physical
Standards
Candidates must be physically fit according to
physical standards defined by the authorities for admission to Engineering
Services Examination.
IES Exam Pattern
There are 3 stages in the
engineering services examination namely –
* Preliminary exam is an objective paper
*Mains exam is a conventional paper (for those who preliminary
exams)
*Personal Interview is a personality test (for those
who clear both exams)
Both the Preliminary exam and Mains exam of
the written test has the entire syllabus of relevant chosen engineering subject
(Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering).
